Job Summary
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer is responsible for supporting and implementing IAM projects by developing documentation, configuring IAM products, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system stability to meet SLA requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support IAM consultants during requirement gathering and design phases to align solutions with business needs
- Develop comprehensive documentation including requirements, design, test cases, and user guides to facilitate project execution
- Install and configure IAM products and integrate them with applications to ensure seamless access management
- Execute test plans to validate IAM implementations and identify issues for resolution
- Assist in developing integration modules, extensions, or customizations to enhance IAM product functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve IAM configuration and integration issues to maintain system reliability
- Respond to user-reported issues, plan fixes, and maintain application health to ensure continuous service availability
- Monitor IAM system stability, performance, and health to meet defined SLA targets
- Coordinate with vendors, support teams, and technical staff to resolve problems, manage upgrades, and minimize system disruptions
- Troubleshoot complex multi-tiered application architectures involving middleware technologies to ensure proper system operation
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for change requests, operational procedures, installations, and upgrades
- Demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities
Required competencies and certifications
- 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IAM implementation or integration projects
- Technical expertise in two or more of the following areas:
- IAM software products such as IBM, DeepIdentity, OneIdentity, SailPoint
- Java/J2EE software development for IAM-related applications
- Installation, configuration, and setup of web servers and application servers
- Database installation, configuration, and setup relevant to IAM systems
- Directory or LDAP services (e.g., IBM SDS, CA Directory, Active Directory) installation and configuration
- Implementation and configuration of high-availability solutions for IAM products, web servers, application servers, directories, and databases in on-premise environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and collaborate as a strong team player
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English to document and communicate technical information clearly
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience in deployment, implementation, integration, and administration support of IAM systems in areas such as:
- User Lifecycle Management
- Identity and Access Governance
- Application integration and onboarding processes
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Session Management
- Password management
- Privilege Access Management (PAM)
- Cloud Application Access Management
