Hyperbaric Intervention Specialist

Revised Job Description & Core Responsibilities

• Perform specialised subsea and hyperbaric diving works under saturation or compressed-air conditions, including TBM cutterhead inspection, disc cutter replacement, underwater welding and structural repairs.
• Operate and maintain relevant hydraulic, pneumatic, cutting and underwater welding equipment in hyperbaric and subsea environments.
• Conduct structural inspections, ultrasonic thickness measurements and debris removal in confined and high-pressure working environments.
• Follow approved compression and decompression procedures, Dive Plans and safety requirements under the direction of the Diving Supervisor.
• Support the diving team in the safe and efficient execution of TBM intervention and other subsea works.
• Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions and work progress to the Diving Supervisor.

Job Requirements

Relevant commercial diving / saturation diving certification, such as ADCI Bell/Saturation Diver or IMCA-recognised Saturation Diver certification, where applicable to the scope of work.

Valid Diving Medical / Commercial Diver Medical Certificate confirming fitness for saturation/bell diving operations, as required.

Minimum 4 years of relevant commercial diving experience, with practical experience in saturation or hyperbaric diving operations.

Experience in civil tunnelling, TBM intervention, marine construction or subsea works will be an advantage.

Practical knowledge and experience in underwater cutting/burning, welding, rigging and TBM cutterhead intervention.

Valid DMT / relevant diving medical emergency training and First Aid / CPR certification, where required for the role.

Good safety awareness, teamwork, communication and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
