Job Responsibilities
- Refrigeration & HVAC Systems
- Undertake troubleshooting, maintenance, and system know-how for refrigeration (DX and Transcritical CO2 systems) and HVAC equipment across retail stores and distribution centres.
- Apply technical skills to support energy efficiency initiatives under the Energy Team.
- Perform brazing works when required.
- Guide technicians in troubleshooting refrigeration and HVAC issues.
- Coordinate and deliver preventive maintenance activities for assigned outlets.
- Participate in monthly standby duties, including troubleshooting and rectification during standby hours.
Work Order & Call Centre Coordination
- Receive jobs via centralised call centre, communicate instructions clearly to stakeholders, and ensure timely completion.
- Perform proper job closure updates in the system for operational visibility.
- Ensure required parts are ordered promptly and communicated to the One Stop Shop (OSS) team to avoid delays
Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
- Maintain facility electrical, mechanical, and equipment systems.
- Repair electric motors, controllers, and auxiliary electrical devices.
- Install new wiring and electrical machinery, working from prints and diagrams to determine layout and specifications.
- Isolate and dismantle electrical equipment, replace defective parts, reassemble, and test for proper operation.
- Check and repair lighting systems.
- Maintain CCTV cabling systems throughout facilities and troubleshoot issues when noted.
Inventory stock and requisition supplies to maintain adequate levels. - Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following prescribed safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP / NSF audits where applicable.
Communication & Collaboration - Communicate effectively with store managers, warehouse managers, and their teams for both reactive and preventive works.
- Build good partnerships with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Undertake any ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in refrigeration (DX and Transcritical CO2 systems) and HVAC troubleshooting & maintenance. - Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, including wiring, motors, controllers, and CCTV systems.
- Skilled in brazing works and preventive maintenance.
- Effective communicator with good stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and flexibly to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Willingness to participate in on-call roster for standby and weekend duties.
* Experience with HACCP / NSF audits is a plus.
