We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of plant HVAC systems within an industrial environment. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations while supporting site changes and engineering improvements. The position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, team leadership capability, and hands-on plant experience.
Lead and supervise technicians in executing preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC systems.
Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules with internal stakeholders and planners to minimize operational disruption.
Operate and optimize HVAC systems using Building Management System (BMS).
Monitor system performance, including temperature and humidity trends, and take immediate corrective action when deviations occur.
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues using P&ID drawings and technical documentation.
Coordinate and manage external suppliers and contractors for HVAC-related works.
Ensure compliance with site SOPs, EHS standards, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with regulatory authorities for cooling tower disinfection, shutdown reporting, and water sampling compliance.
Lead investigations into HVAC-related incidents and implement corrective actions.
Execute small HVAC improvement projects and manage proper Engineering Change Control documentation.
Ensure timely closure of work orders within SAP CMMS.
Attend operational meetings and provide daily activity reports to stakeholders and plant leadership.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all HVAC-related matters within the plant.
Oversee systems including:
Chilled water and cooling water systems
Cooling towers
Pumps
Absorption and electric chillers (-20C to +5C)
Cold room refrigeration units
AHUs, FCUs, dehumidifiers
Split units and related HVAC equipment
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience in an industrial or GMP plant environment.
Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling towers, chillers, and refrigeration systems.
Ability to interpret P&ID drawings and conduct structured troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with BMS operation and SAP CMMS.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to HVAC operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience leading maintenance teams in a plant environment.
Exposure to Engineering Change Control processes.
Familiarity with EHS and contractor management procedures.
