Senses International Pte Ltd
Job Adverts- Manager, Human Resources
Who We Are
At Senses International, fragrance is more than scent - it is memory, emotion, identity, and experience.
Founded in Singapore in 2009, Senses International has grown into one of the region's emerging fragrance houses, partnering brands across personal care, home care, air care, fabric care, and fine fragrance categories. From concept creation to formulation and manufacturing, we combine creative artistry, research-driven innovation, and advanced olfactive technology to craft fragrances that shape how consumers experience products and brands.
As a proudly home-grown Singapore company competing in a highly specialised global industry, we operate with the agility of an entrepreneurial business while continuously investing in innovation, people, and capability building.
Today, as we continue our next phase of regional growth, we are looking for a hands-on and commercially grounded HR leader to build stronger people practices, management discipline, and organisational capability alongside the founders and leadership team.
The Opportunity
Behind every fragrance creation is a business that depends on people, judgement, discipline, creativity, and trust working in harmony.
As Senses International continues its next phase of growth, we are looking for a HR Manager who will become the central steward of the company's people environment - someone who can bring structure without bureaucracy, maturity without rigidity, and operational discipline without losing the entrepreneurial spirit that defines the business.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the heartbeat of an organisation. You will work closely with the founders and leadership team across the full employee life cycle - from attracting and onboarding talent, strengthening performance and accountability practices, navigating sensitive employee matters, and supporting capability development, to helping managers become stronger leaders and decision-makers.
In many organisation, HR operates from the sidelines. Here, HR sits close to the business. You will be part advisor, part coach, part operator, and at times, the calm centre in moments that require sound judgement, discretion, resilience, and practical problem-solving. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable handling operational details, difficult conversations, organisational ambiguity, and the realities of a fast-moving SME environment where growth often outpaces structure.
This is an opportunity for a commercially grounded and hands-on HR professional to help shape not just processes - but culture, leadership maturity, organisational consistency, and the employee experience within a unique and highly specialised industry.
Who We Want
You are likely someone who finds satisfaction in bringing clarity, structure, and steadiness into growing businesses. You understand that effective HR is not about hiding behind policies, but about exercising judgement, building credibility, navigating complexity, and helping both employees and management operate more effectively together.
With at least 7 years of generalist HR experience, you bring strong HR operational fundamentals, sound employee relations judgement, and the maturity to manage sensitive situations with discretion and composure. Comfortable operating independently, you know how to balance empathy with accountability, business realities with compliance obligations, and professionalism with practicality. You are calm under pressure, tactful yet confident in your communication, and able to build trust across both leadership and operational teams. Most importantly, you are someone who thrives in environments where HR is expected to contribute meaningfully to organisational growth, management discipline, and long-term capability building - not merely administration.
