Reporting to the CHRO, the Director, Human Resources will provide leadership across the HR functions and drive key people strategies that support business growth, organizational capability and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive HR Strategy – Partner with Business Leaders and Senior Management to translate business priorities into effective HR strategies and initiatives.
- Strategic HR Partnership – Provide strategic HR advice on organization design, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, organizational capability and change management.
- Build a High-Performance Culture – Foster a values-driven culture that promotes accountability, collaboration, innovation, employee engagement and business performance.
- Lead HR Functions – Provide strategic leadership and oversight across key HR areas, including HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, Employee Relations and HRIS.
- Develop Talent & Leadership – Lead talent management, succession planning, leadership development and career development initiatives to strengthen organizational capability and build a sustainable talent pipeline.
- Drive HR Transformation – Lead HR transformation, digitalization, HRIS, process improvement, people analytics and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR effectiveness and employee experience.
- Oversee Rewards & Governance – Support the development and implementation of competitive and sustainable compensation, benefits and rewards strategies, while ensuring sound HR governance and compliance with applicable employment legislation.
- Manage Workforce & Resources – Lead manpower planning, HR budgeting and workforce cost management, with a focus on productivity, effectiveness and cost optimization.
- Strengthen HR Capability – Lead, coach and develop the HR leadership team and build a high-performing, collaborative and business-focused HR function.
- Support Senior Management – Provide HR insights, workforce analytics and recommendations to support business and people-related decision-making, and contribute to key Group HR projects and initiatives.
- Stay Ahead of HR Trends – Monitor emerging HR practices, employment trends, technology and government initiatives to identify opportunities to strengthen the organization's people agenda.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline. Relevant professional HR certification is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 8 years in a senior HR leadership or Head of Function role.
- Proven experience leading multiple HR disciplines in a regional, international or multi-business environment.
- Strong track record in HR strategy, organizational transformation, talent management, succession planning and leadership development.
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits, HR governance, employment legislation and employee relations.
- Experience in HR digitalization, HRIS, process improvement and people analytics is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to translate business priorities into practical and effective people strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in retail, food & beverage, hospitality, manufacturing or consumer businesses would be an advantage.
