Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), Southeast Asia

Location: Singapore

Reporting to: APAC HRVP

As part of our regional expansion, we are seeking a commercially minded and hands-on HR Business Partner to support our business leaders and employees across the Southeast Asian markets.

Position Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders while also taking ownership of end-to-end recruitment activities across Southeast Asia. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational, capable of working in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with business leaders to understand organizational needs and provide HR solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive company culture.
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and company policies across Southeast Asia.
  • Advise managers on compensation, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and employee development.

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent across Southeast Asia.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical positions.
  • Partner with external recruitment agencies and manage vendor relationships when required.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and improve candidate experience.
  • Prepare recruitment reports and hiring metrics for management review.

HR Operations

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR data accuracy.
  • Coordinate annual performance review and compensation processes.
  • Participate in regional HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of HR experience, including both HRBP and recruitment responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and practical understanding of HR practices across Southeast Asia.
  • Proven experience supporting multiple countries within the Southeast Asia region is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on recruitment experience across commercial, technical, and corporate functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and matrix organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional Southeast Asian languages would be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, renewable energy, technology, or multinational environments.
  • Experience supporting regional expansion and cross-border hiring initiatives.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is preferred to facilitate communication with headquarters and regional stakeholders.
