Role Purpose

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic and operational advisor to the commercial/ sales organisation across countries in APAC, driving people strategies that enable growth and operational excellence across the region. This role partners closely with leadership to deliver workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives tailored to local market needs.

In addition, the HRBP will lead the Talent Development Center of Excellence (CoE) for APAC, designing and implementing regional programs that build leadership capability, accelerate career development, and strengthen succession pipelines. The role ensures alignment with global talent strategies while adapting to cultural and business nuances across Asia-Pacific.

Key Responsibilities (with a focus on Talent Development)

Regional HRBP duties

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor for SEA & NEA business units, providing guidance on workforce planning, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support employee relations, resolve workplace issues, and promote positive engagement.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Maintain accurate HR data in systems and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Develop and communicate HR policies; perform audits for data accuracy.
  • Generate HR reports and provide insights; support annual HR cycles (e.g., merit increases).
  • Respond to HR queries and manage administrative tasks, including Dayforce updates.
  • Contribute to global/regional HR projects and engagement initiatives.
  • Handle ad hoc HR duties as assigned.

Talent Development

  • Lead the APAC Talent Development CoE, creating frameworks for leadership development, high-potential programs, and career pathways.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and career growth across APAC
  • Partner with global HR teams to localize talent initiatives and ensure consistency in execution.
  • Drive data-driven insights to inform talent decisions and measure program impact.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all talent development initiatives.

Required Competencies

  • Proven 4 to 6 years experience as an HRBP in a multi-country environment, with the ability roll up your sleeves on operational tasks
  • Strong knowledge of competency frameworks, leadership development, and adult learning principles.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex regional projects.
  • Excellent communication and cultural adaptability across APAC markets.
  • Analytical and demonstrable experience with HR metrics
  • Good knowledge of labour law & legislations is Asia Pacific region
  • A positive & creative personality and a natural team player
  • An ability to work, plan & execute independently
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
