Job Description

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Drafting job descriptions, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews. They also manage onboarding to ensure new hires integrate smoothly.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Maintaining accurate employee records and collaborating with Finance to ensure timely salary payments, CPF contributions, and the administration of medical insurance or leave entitlements.
  • Compliance & Policy: Ensuring all HR activities align with local labor laws, such as the Employment Act in Singapore, and updating the employee handbook.
  • Employee Relations: Acting as the first point of contact for staff grievances, disciplinary issues, and general inquiries regarding company policy or workplace culture.
  • Performance Management: Facilitating the annual appraisal process, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and assisting managers with performance improvement plans.
  • Training & Development: Identifying skill gaps and coordinating internal or external training sessions to promote continuous learning.

Key Skills Required

  • Discretion: Handling sensitive personal data and confidential salary information with high integrity.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Staying updated on evolving Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations and work pass requirements.
  • HRIS Proficiency: Navigating Human Resource Information Systems like Workday or SuccessFactors for data tracking.
  • Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence for conflict resolution and effective cross-departmental communication
