Instilling safety awareness to employees is a vital part of the role of the HSE Engineer and so you will be expected to lead by example and to promote best practice at all times with regards to safety at work in all areas.
As the HSE Engineer you will be required to devise the company's HSEQ plan and ensure its implementation.
You are required to attend management meetings to provide ideas and best industry practice with all different level of employees.
Liaison officer with local government agencies on operating licensing, permits and approval of work etc.
Report incidents and conduct investigation to determine root cause(s) and lesson learn.

Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Establish and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.
Ensure proper document control and quality records management in line with QMS requirements.
Lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits, including certification processes.
Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
Work closely with production teams to ensure process consistency, product quality, and defect reduction.
Promote a quality culture and awareness among employees aligned with overall HSEQ objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversees the safe, efficient and cost-effective performance of the plant operations.
Ensures production processes are managed and safely operated in accordance with organizational policies, operating procedures and management systems.
Analyze risks and ensure that all procedures are adhered to and comply with ISO 45001 requirements and local WSH regulations. Well organized, able to work as a team and may occasionally be required to travel within AICA operating sites.
Check on compliance to local regulation requirements and legislation.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements alongside ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Monitor, analyze, and report quality performance metrics (e.g. defects, rework, customer complaints, process deviations).
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and standardization initiatives.
Ensure all processes and outputs meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements of a HSEQ Engineer:
Ideally, you will be educated to diploma/degree level and will be fully experienced in the ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 / Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliance/ implementation and certification process.
Experience in handling internal and external audits and certification processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and trends.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control practices is preferred.
As someone who will be expected to work with a team of people, it is important that you have people management skills and have excellent interpersonal and presentational skills and be able to build relationships with external partners.
The ability to be able to problem solve, interpret complex issues and motivate others to work to the best of their ability is essential.
