Carry out duties of a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) in accordance with all applicable legislation and regulations under the Ministry of Manpower and National Environment Agency
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, company safety policies, and codes of practice by all personnel on site
Implement and oversee project-specific HSE Management Systems and programs in alignment with company procedures
Develop and implement Safety and Environmental Programs, including submission of the Site Environmental Control Programme (SECP) prior to project commencement
Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and compliance checks to uphold workplace safety and environmental standards
Identify gaps in WSH and environmental systems, procedures, and performance, and recommend improvements
Review and evaluate Workplace Safety & Health Management System (WSHMS), environmental reports, and risk management processes
Lead incident investigations, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely follow-up
Provide training, guidance, and support to employees on workplace safety practices
Conduct safety meetings, toolbox briefings, and training sessions for relevant stakeholders
Coordinate Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRP), including drills, exercises, and maintenance of emergency equipment
Ensure all Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and related documentation are properly implemented and maintained
Liaise with project teams, management, and relevant authorities on workplace safety and environmental matters
Advise project leadership on safety performance, risks, and improvement measures
Maintain accurate HSE records and ensure timely submission of required reports and statutory documents
Prepare and present reports on HSE performance, trends, and key indicators
Support initiatives to achieve HSE certifications, awards, and continuous improvement
Perform other HSE-related duties as assigned
Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety and Health or a related discipline
Registered as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with NEA
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
Good understanding of Workplace Safety & Health and environmental regulations
Experience working on projects with SP, PUB, LTA, or CAG will be advantageous
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Possession of own transport will be an added advantage
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Work Location: Assigned based on project requirements (details will be shared during the interview process)
