Job Summary
Coordinate workplace safety and health initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations, promote safe work practices, and drive continuous improvement in safety management systems.
Job responsibilities:
- Supervise HSE functions at job sites and lead daily toolbox meetings to reinforce safety practices
- Coordinate with contractors to enforce compliance with safety rules and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular HSE inspections to identify and report unsafe acts and conditions promptly
- Assist in investigating incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend mitigation measures
- Prepare and submit HSE reports while liaising with Group HSE to ensure accurate communication
- Participate actively in safety meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of safety management
- Execute additional HSE-related duties and processes as assigned by supervisors to support overall safety goals
Required competencies and certifications:
- Valid Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator (WSHC) certificate
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry
- Strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Act and related regulations
- Proven leadership and organizational skills
Preferred competencies and qualifications:
- Certified First Aider
- Work-at-Height (WAH) Assessor certification
- Confined Space Assessor certification
- Willingness to work long hours when required
- Ability to commence work immediately
- Candidate should ideally be Singapore citizens.
