The purpose of an HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Assessor is to evaluate and ensure that workplace health, safety, and environmental standards are being followed, while identifying risks and recommending improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment for approval of hot work permits, work at height permit and confined space work permit
- Conduct daily site safety inspection and enforce compliance on prevailing HSE related requirements,
- Liaise closely with safety officer and site personnel on the daily task,
- Conduct in-house HSE training and Induction,
- Prepare HSE related reports as assigned,
- Supervise and attend all issues related to workplace safety, health and environmental control,
- Manage permit application and renewal process,
- Support HSE promotional events,
- Assist in incident investigation, analyzing and determining the root cause of all reported incidents on project site and recommend on corrective and preventive actions.
- Able to perform shift Work
- Any other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Certified as Confined Space Safety Assessor
- Certified as Shipyard Hotwork Safety Assessor
- Work at height assessor
- Preferably with practical shipyard experiences
- DIPLOMA / NITEC in Engineering (Environment, Health, Safety) or relevant field
