HR Systems Operations & Support Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Engineer to support operations and maintenance activities for an enterprise Human Resource (HR) system supporting large-scale HR administration and management processes. The role involves ensuring system availability, compliance, incident management, change implementation, and coordination with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in IT operations support, system compliance, incident management, and enterprise application environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance (O&S)
- Ensure smooth operations of existing HR systems and successful implementation of software and hardware upgrades.
- Coordinate and work closely with internal teams, contractors, service providers, and third parties to deliver project activities.
- Monitor systems to ensure adherence to applicable IT standards, policies, and directives.
- Perform IT compliance activities including:
- Log reviews
- Account and access rights reviews
- Compliance reporting
- Support and coordinate system audit activities.
- Maintain development, configuration, and technical documentation according to quality standards.
- Manage Vulnerability Assessment (VA) activities and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Provide regular project status reporting.
- Manage remediation, retirement, and disposal of obsolete system components.
- Support experimentation, research, testing, and evaluation initiatives.
Incident Management
- Manage and resolve system support issues and defects.
- Respond to incidents and problem reports within stipulated Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Lead investigations and coordinate with stakeholders for issue resolution, including cross-system incidents.
- Provide timely incident updates to management and stakeholders.
- Prepare consolidated incident summaries and reports.
- Perform defect trend analysis to identify and address recurring issues.
- Coordinate resources to ensure timely closure of incidents and service requests.
Change Request Management
- Propose continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance, cybersecurity posture, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with end users.
- Manage implementation of system changes and enhancements.
- Plan and coordinate deployment activities, including setup, testing, data collection, issue escalation, and resolution.
- Work with system integrators to ensure successful integration of solution components.
- Oversee acceptance testing and verify solutions meet business and technical requirements.
- Support stakeholder communications and change management activities.
- Prepare and obtain approvals for change implementation activities.
Contract & Vendor Coordination
- Track and manage contract milestones within project scope.
- Coordinate handover and takeover activities with outgoing and incoming vendors/contractors.
- Support planning and coordination of operations and support-related purchases.
- Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Information Technology.
- Experience in enterprise application support and operations.
- Strong understanding of incident management and change management processes.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and support teams.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred / Advantageous Skills
- Experience in IT audit and compliance activities.
- Familiarity with IM8 or equivalent ICT/security policies.
- Knowledge or experience in SAP HCM ERP systems.
- Experience in vulnerability management and remediation activities.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise HR systems.

- Salary: $6,000 - $9,000 max up to $10,000
