Company Overview

Smartflex Technology provides assembly, packaging, and testing services for contact and contactless dual interface IC modules used in SIM cards, credit cards, ATM cards, and identity cards for global customers.

Job Summary

You will independently manage HR functions including bilingual document translation, recruitment, onboarding, training, payroll processing, compliance, and employee relations to support a hi-tech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft HR documents and notices in both Chinese and English for effective communication
  • Translate HR documents and communications accurately between English and Chinese to ensure clear understanding across teams
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection activities to fill vacancies efficiently
  • Conduct recruitment interviews in Chinese and English to assess candidate suitability and fit
  • Deliver orientation and HR policy training sessions bilingually to onboard and educate employees
  • Conduct exit interviews and clearance processes in both languages to ensure smooth employee offboarding
  • Manage work pass applications, renewals, cancellations, and income tax clearance to maintain legal compliance
  • Perform onboarding activities including orientation and issuance of uniforms and PPE to new hires
  • Inspect foreign worker accommodations to ensure compliance with housing standards
  • Accurately input and update employee data in the HRIS system to maintain current records
  • Verify and correct employee clocking, attendance, and overtime records to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Process leave applications, medical claims, expense claims, and overtime claims promptly
  • Administer monthly payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate salary payments
  • Coordinate training and development programs and maintain updated training records
  • Administer staff benefits and welfare programs to support employee well-being
  • Enforce discipline and compliance policies to maintain workplace standards
  • Assist in performance evaluation exercises to support employee development
  • Organize safety, welfare, and recreation activities to promote a positive work environment
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports to inform management decisions
  • Respond promptly to employee enquiries to provide HR support and guidance

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist and payroll experience in a hi-tech manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an intermediate level

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proficient verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese to support bilingual HR functions
  • Meticulous, organized, and systematic work approach to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team player
  • Positive attitude with a Can Do mindset to meet deadlines and handle overtime work
