Serve as the primary point of contact in Singapore for all HR-related matters. The primary responsibility is to support daily HR operations for both Blue-Collar (BC) and White-Collar (WC) employee groups, acting as a proactive partner with understanding of HR functions and employee relations.
Description:
1. Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Leverage various talent acquisition channels such as job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Build and maintain strong candidate relationships to ensure a positive recruitment experience.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on recruitment progress and key metrics.
- Prepare salary proposals for selected candidates and coordinate all administrative tasks related to onboarding upon offer acceptance.
2. Talent Management
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires and coordinate training for existing employees.
- Ensure employee competency records are updated annually.
- Partner with the Learning & Development (L&D) team to support local employee development initiatives and respond to related inquiries.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Guide employees in accessing HR systems and address their queries effectively.
- Coordinate and follow up on employee engagement activities to foster a positive work environment.
- Manage the offboarding process, ensuring compliance and a smooth transition.
- Provide managers with professional HR guidance on performance management and disciplinary matters to support the development of a productive work environment.
4. Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure timely and consistent follow-up on work pass renewals, with no lapses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in both electronic and digital formats.
- Review and update HR policies to ensure alignment with Singapore's legal and regulatory requirements. Stay informed of legislative changes through engagement with the MOM, TAFEP, SNEF and others SG HR communities.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to implement HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies across departments.
- Support critical decisions such as terminations or dismissals in consultation with HR management and relevant department heads.
5. Operational Excellence
- Provide HR advice and support to managers on talent management, performance, and employee relations.
- Provide HR and administrative support for daily office operations.
- Collaborate with departments to achieve company and departmental KPIs.
- Engage in constructive discussions with key stakeholders and contribute to the successful execution of ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Observe all safety regulations and comply with safety standards.
- Contribute towards achieving the HS & EMS KPI for VAPC.
