About Our Client

Our client is a well established global manufacturer with a significant footprint across Asia Pacific, including plant operations in multiple countries. The Opportunity

This is a regional HR leadership role with responsibility for the people agenda across the client's manufacturing and supply chain operations in Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will partner regional business leaders on workforce strategy, organisational effectiveness, talent, and change, while providing HR leadership across a multi country, multi plant environment. The role suits an accomplished HR leader who combines genuine plant level understanding with the ability to operate at regional strategic altitude in a matrixed global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the HR agenda for manufacturing and supply chain operations across Asia Pacific, aligned to business and operational priorities

  • Partner senior business leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, and manpower cost management across plants and markets

  • Drive talent strategy for the region, including leadership pipelines, succession for critical plant and functional roles, and capability building

  • Lead and support change initiatives, including transformation, productivity, and footprint related programmes

  • Provide guidance on employee and industrial relations matters across diverse country environments, including unionised operations and collective agreement matters where applicable

  • Provide regional oversight of rewards matters, including salary structures, incentive schemes, and benchmarking for hard to fill technical and plant roles

  • Champion a strong culture of safety, engagement, and performance across the regional workforce

  • Drive HR digitalisation and analytics across the region, including manpower cost and workforce reporting

  • Coach and develop country and plant HR teams, raising the standard of HR delivery across the region

  • Ensure HR practices comply with local employment legislation across operating countries and with global company standards

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline postgraduate qualification or IHRP certification an advantage

  • 10 to 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience within multinational organisations

  • Substantial experience supporting manufacturing operations, including direct plant level exposure multi country manufacturing experience across Asia Pacific strongly preferred

  • Minimum 5 years in HR leadership roles, ideally within a matrix organisation

  • Exposure to markets across Asia Pacific experience supporting operations in North and Southeast Asia is an advantage

  • Experience supporting plant start ups, expansions, or restructuring is a plus

  • Proven change management capability and experience translating strategy into executable plans

  • Strong coaching, consulting, and stakeholder management skills at senior levels a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable on the shop floor as in the boardroom

  • Willingness to travel regionally
