A vehicle solutions company is looking for a HR Manager (6-mth Maternity Cover)

Your new role

In this role, you will be double hatting as functional HR Business Partner and Country HR Business Partner with multiple country topics.

You are required to take a proactive stance to solve problems for businesses from HR perspective yet stand on the principles and legal compliance standards of HR. You are required to be strongly grounded in your HR understanding and principles to govern the decisions made in the region across HR functional areas, upholding internal processes and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

HR Operations

. Manage delivery of core HR programs of work and cyclical activity across the region, including talent review, year-in-review process, promotions, remuneration review and employee survey initiatives

. Oversee and manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding of talent across Hub APAC

. Oversee the application and renewal of work visas, employment contract preparations, letter preparations, personnel registration across Hub APAC

. Prepare and actively participate in Country Management Meetings in Singapore and Malaysia

. Work with Learning & Development team to ensure programs implemented are in line with firm needs

. Work with Compensation & Benefits team to ensure benefit programs are reviewed and analysed against market to ensure competitiveness

. Review and check monthly payroll (prepared by the HR Executive and Administrators) across Hub APAC

. Continuously improve HR service delivery proactively seek out and action stakeholder feedback

Business Partnering - Partners and senior stakeholders

. Provide strategic consulting, advice and governance on people practices with a focus on talent, capability, leadership and structure

. Provide advice and coaching to partners/leaders across a range of people matters, including policy, legislation and complex people/employee relations matters, e.g. performance management, redundancy

. Support leaders to be the best they can be - focus on improving individual leadership effectiveness and building change management capability

. Prepare and actively participate in Business Review Meetings (BRMs), Management meetings across Hub APAC.

. Own the development and implementation of regional specific programs, projects and processes

. Work closely with regional leads and local leaders to understand business priorities. Support at a local level via effective people plans and practices

. Establish strong internal working relationships with HR COE's to support the effective deployment of people activities and initiatives

. Partner with Business Controllers in annual planning processes (Estimation 5 - E5 in May 2026 and Estimation 11 - E11 in November) and periodic business reviews, co-creating strategic workforce plans and people budgets

. Support and champion Learning & Organisational Development initiatives across the region

Team

. Manage and supervise a team of 2 based in Singapore, 2 based in Malaysia and partners for other markets, providing coaching, mentoring and direction as necessary

. Provide support and share expertise and knowledge with Business partner team members

. Lead on, or contribute to, projects to develop and enhance HR practices and processes


Risk and Control

. Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience in a similar role will lead to your success, as you will ideally have:

  • At least 8+ years of HR management experience
  • Previous automotive/ heavy machinery/ manufacturing industry experience highly desirable
  • Regional exposure and multi jurisdiction labour law understanding is highly favourable e.g APAC countries
  • Proven ability to lead strategic discussions and balance hands on operational delivery, ensuring the development and execution of people interventions supports business objectives
  • Strong commercial and risk acumen
