Job Summary
The HR Executive (Payroll) is responsible for processing and administering payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis to ensure timely and accurate compensation
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions precisely to maintain payroll accuracy
- Maintain and update employee payroll records to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
- Generate detailed payroll reports to support management decision-making and audit requirements
- Administer statutory deductions in compliance with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain payroll accuracy
- Coordinate with HR teams on new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits updates to ensure payroll reflects current employee status
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management review and external audits to support compliance and transparency
- Respond professionally and promptly to employee payroll inquiries to provide clear and accurate information
- Support year-end payroll activities including tax filings and reconciliations to meet regulatory deadlines
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding by preparing staff contracts and related correspondence to facilitate smooth employee integration
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in PAYMASTER payroll software
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and payroll reporting tools
- High attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
