Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with employment legislation and statutory requirements, with a primary focus on Singapore, including the Employment Act, the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act and Ministry of Manpower regulations; partner with country HR colleagues to track regulatory developments and help translate changes into practical process updates.
  • Support employee relations casework under the guidance of senior HR and Legal colleagues, including case intake and triage, evidence and document collation, interview scheduling and note-taking, timeline construction, case file maintenance and follow-up tracking, exercising strict confidentiality, neutrality and consistency of process throughout.
  • Serve as a point of support for employee relations and employment compliance enquiries escalated from employees, managers and HR Business Partners, facilitating resolution and partnering with the business, HR, Legal and other stakeholders to deliver fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Ensure employment documentation and HR records are audit standard, covering employment contracts, Key Employment Terms, policy acknowledgements, disciplinary and grievance records, personnel files and retention schedules, ensuring records are complete, accurate and defensible under review.
  • Support internal and external audits, labour compliance reviews and HR governance activities by assembling evidence, reconciling records against source systems, tracking remediation actions through to closure and documenting outcomes.
  • Support the periodic review, risk assessment and rollout of HR policies across the region, working with legal advisors to ensure local policies remain aligned to both Tencent global standards and country-specific legal requirements.
  • Build and maintain the employee relations and policy knowledge repository, and support the development of manager training materials on fair employment practices, grievance handling and proper documentation.
  • Identify control gaps and propose practical improvements, including better use of HR case management and workflow systems to reduce manual handling and strengthen compliance tracking.

Requirements

  • Approximately 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, employee relations or employment compliance. Outstanding fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with Singapore employment legislation and fair employment practices is a strong advantage. A genuine interest in employment regulation and the willingness to build real depth in this area is essential.
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal maturity, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, confidentiality and empathy, and to build trust with employees and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Analytical and meticulous, able to conduct precise fact-gathering, maintain accurate records and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability, integrity and discretion, and the discipline to meet deadlines and produce work that withstands audit scrutiny.
  • Comfortable working with HR systems and data, able to build and maintain trackers and case records, reconcile information across sources and use technology to improve operational efficiency.
  • An initiative-taking communicator who keeps stakeholders well informed, asks questions, flags risks early and takes ownership beyond assigned responsibilities in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
