Purpose of the Role

The HR Business Partner Asia Pacific plays a pivotal role in shaping the region's people agenda, ensuring the organisation continues to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent. With responsibility for a multi-country population across the Asia Pacific region, you will drive endtoend talent management, organisational development, and HR partnering efforts that directly support business growth and performance.

Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, this role will partner closely with senior regional leaders and subsidiary HR teams to deliver a cohesive and futureready HR strategy aligned with the organisation's long-term ambitions in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Management & Leadership Development

  • Lead the regional talent strategy, including succession planning, leadership development, talent identification, and employee growth pathways.
  • Build a strong learning and development culture, working closely with business leaders to design and implement tailored learning plans.
  • Drive initiatives supporting talent mobility, crossfunctional rotations, and leadership readiness for a highgrowth regional environment.

HR Business Partnering

  • Serve as the senior HR partner to key regional executives, supporting workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, and change management.
  • Ensure HR strategies and programs align directly with business priorities across key markets.

Talent Acquisition for Critical Roles

  • Oversee and support hiring for strategic and leadership positions across the region as needed.
  • Partner with local HR teams to ensure consistent hiring standards, strong talent pipelines, and market insights.

Regional & Global Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR teams across the region to maintain strong alignment while adapting to local needs and market nuances.
  • Collaborate with global centres of excellence on talent, learning, performance, and HR policies to ensure consistent frameworks.

Culture, Engagement & Capability Building

  • Embed a talentoriented and learningdriven culture across the Asia Pacific markets.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and ensure leadership teams are equipped to nurture a highperformance, inclusive environment.

The Candidate

Experience & Qualifications

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • At least 12 years of progressive HR experience across Asia, ideally within manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated strengths in HR business partnering, talent management, learning & development, employee engagement, and talent acquisition.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multicultural regional SME or global organisations.

Leadership & Personal Attributes

  • Positive, energetic, mature, and grounded leadership presence.
  • Strong coaching orientation; coaching certifications are advantageous.
  • Hands-on and self-driven. Independent and a collaborative team player.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to link people strategy to business growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong cultural sensitivity.
  • High integrity, discretion with confidential information, with exception relationship building and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable navigating evolving business needs.
  • Able to travel approximately 20% across the ASEAN region.
