Primary Role
To lead, supervise, and support the housekeeping team by allocating assignments, inspecting completed work, and ensuring that guest rooms and public areas consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Allocate daily room assignments and duties to room attendants in line with operational needs.Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness and service standards.
- Provide ongoing training, guidance, and constructive feedback to team members to drive performance and service excellence.
- Monitor adherence to safety, hygiene, and health regulations across all housekeeping operations.
- Manage housekeeping supplies and inventory, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and feedback.
- Liaise effectively with the Front Office and Engineering teams to coordinate smooth day-to-day operations.
- Prepare staff duty rosters, oversee attendance, and support performance evaluations.
- Report, follow up, and coordinate resolution of maintenance issues or safety hazards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a senior housekeeping capacity within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both guests and colleagues.
- Sound knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning products, and equipment, as well as occupational health and safety practices.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
