Job Description: Receptionist (Hostel - Multi-Role)
Role Overview
As a lean boutique hostel, we are looking for a hands-on Receptionist who is comfortable wearing multiple roles. This position goes beyond front desk duties and requires flexibility and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Front desk & guest services:
. Handling guest enquiries (in person, phone, messaging platforms)
. Managing guest helpline and responding promptly
. Morning check-ins and afternoon check-outs (from 3:00pm onwards)
Booking & operations:
. Managing bookings across platforms
. Allocating beds and rooms to bookings
. Updating booking systems accurately
Housekeeping support:
. Assisting with light housekeeping when required
. Changing linens and preparing beds during peak periods
General:
. Ensuring smooth daily operations
. Reporting issues or maintenance needs
. Contributing ideas to improve guest experience and reviews
Working Hours
. Generally 9:00am - 6:00pm
. 5 OR 6 days work week (including 1 day on weekend)
Requirements
. Prior experience in hospitality, front desk, or customer service preferred
. Comfortable using booking systems and digital tools
. Good communication and interpersonal skills
. Willing to assist with housekeeping duties when required
. Responsible, adaptable, and team-oriented
