Roles & Responsibilities.
- Supervise subordinate personnel in work site and in the proper methods and techniques of planting ornamental plants.
- Train ground personnel in the techniques of pruning, wound dressing, cavity repair and the cabling and bracing of trees and shrubs.
- Prepare order for various types of plants and seeds.
- Conduct inventory, map and label trees and shrubs on work site for instructional and maintenance purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of maintenance programs for the control of plant diseases and insects.
- Prepare fertilizer programs for various types of plants.
- Confer with landscape architect and other personnel in the selection of plants
