Caregiver (Home Care) - Job Description
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers to provide high-quality, personalized care to clients in their homes. This role focuses on supporting elderly and medically dependent individuals to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Care & Assistance
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting
- Support mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
- Monitor basic vital signs and observe health changes
2. Companionship & Emotional Support
- Provide companionship and social engagement
- Encourage mental stimulation and reduce isolation
- Support light physical activities or exercises
3. Medical & Therapy Support
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with rehabilitation exercises (e.g. post-stroke, post-op)
- Work with nurses, therapists, and care coordinators
4. Household Support
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Meal preparation based on dietary needs
- Grocery shopping and errands
5. Documentation & Communication
- Maintain accurate care records
- Escalate changes in patient condition
- Follow care plans and safety protocols
Requirements
- No prior experience required
- Certification in caregiving / healthcare (preferred)
- Minimum PSLE qualification / WSQ certificate/ higher certificate or equivalent
- Training will be provided
