History/Social Studies Teacher

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic History/Social Studies Teacher to join our team at the School of Science and Technology, Singapore. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing confident, articulate, and critical thinkers who are ready to thrive in an ever-changing world. You will work closely with a supportive team of educators to create meaningful learning experiences that align with the MOE Secondary History/Social Studies Syllabus, while also guiding the students in developing empathy, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

What You'll Do

1. Deliver engaging History/Social Studies lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
2. Develop students proficiency in History/Social Studies and critical thinking through innovative and applied learning approaches.
3. Assess and monitor students progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
4. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment design, and professional development.
5. Mentor and guide students as a Form Teacher, fostering a caring and supportive classroom culture (if needed).
6. Contribute to the holistic education of students by supporting co-curricular activities and school events (if needed).

What We're Looking For

. Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the National Institute of Education (NIE), Diploma in Education from NIE or any other equivalent teaching qualifications

. Passion for applied learning, creativity, and interdisciplinary teaching.

. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a student-centred approach.
