The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and intellectually driven Historian / Academic / Research Writer to support research projects, content development, and long-form academic writing initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about historical research, academic analysis, and transforming complex information into clear, structured, and insightful written work.
What You'll Do
- Conduct historical and academic research across assigned topics
- Write, edit, and develop research papers, articles, reports, and analytical content
- Analyze primary and secondary sources to produce accurate, well-supported insights
- Support development of academic publications, white papers, and research briefs
- Ensure clarity, structure, and academic rigor across all written outputs
- Maintain proper citations, referencing standards, and documentation practices
- Collaborate with internal teams on research planning and editorial direction
- Monitor academic trends, historical developments, and relevant literature
- Contribute to long-form content development and knowledge-building projects
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, International Relations, or related field
- 1–4 years of experience in academic research, writing, publishing, or related roles
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex information
- Excellent writing, editing, and academic communication skills
- Familiarity with research methodologies and citation standards
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into structured insights
- Strong attention to detail and intellectual rigor
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
- Passion for history, research, and knowledge creation
