Job Description

Are you looking for a fulfilling career in veterinary medicine but not sure how to start Join Willow Vets and find a supportive and experienced team to embark with on this journey.

Veterinary medicine is not just about loving animals (this is a given, we think!) and/or enjoying playing with cute pets, it is often about the people, too - owners, caregivers and families. This is where the right person can help a vet clinic go from good to excellent.

We are a new clinic, but we have a core founding team of experienced vets and vet techs. As a small boutique GP clinic, located in Siglap, we aim to offer a personalised and warm experience. We hope to make the vet experience a positive one for both pets and owners - from fear-free, gentle handling of patients where possible, to creating an empathetic space for clients. Joining a new clinic also gives you the chance to learn and hone your skills in various aspects of veterinary medicine (especially in our East Coast community!).

If these resonate with you, we would love to hear from you!

  • Reception duties: answering phone calls, booking appointments for the day, managing workflow
  • Triaging: Assessing patients briefly and quickly to decide course of action (e.g. when they call to make an appointment)
  • Dispensing medication: Dispense medication correctly, give proper instructions. Also, help to maintain pharmacy organisation

JUNIOR VET ASSISANT: JOB SCOPE

  • Dispensing medication: Assist reception to dispense medication correctly and help to maintain pharmacy inventory and organisation

  • Fresh grads (minimum qualification: diploma) are welcome to apply
  • Some previous experience in a small animal clinic is a bonus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player with strong work ethics
  • Compassionate towards animals and people
  • Able to enjoy a laugh

WHAT WE WILL OFFER

  • Competitive salary
