Job Purpose
To lead and optimize the company's import/export operations in Singapore, ensuring compliant, on-time, and cost-effective trade execution while driving profitability and sustainable growth.
He/She works closely with team to understand the trade flows & works with bankers across the globe. He/She would liase with international Banks for availing trade credit facilities for the company. He/She should be analytical and well-spoken.
Job Responsibility
- Prepare T/T online for Banking Transactions
- Filing of all Documents in the respective files on daily basis
- Follow-up with Bank for TR, DP, CAD, DA, Export IF Financing, LC discounting
- Prepare & Submit Documents under DP, CAD, DA, LC & OA
- Prepare & Submit TR & Export IF Applications to Banks
- Follow-up with Bank & Agents for documents & payments under DP,CAD,DA, LC & OA
- Issue C/O & Insurance as & when required
- Dispatch original documents to buyers as & when advised
- If required, you may need to go out of office for urgent work. (Banks / Shipping Agent's Office)
- Prepare & Submit Documents under L/C and D/P in Banks
Skills, Experience And Qualification Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field. MBA or relevant master's preferred.
- 5-10 years in import/export, trade operations, logistics, or supply chain, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/management role.
- Deep understanding of incoterms, letters of credit, import/export documentation, cargo insurance, and trade compliance.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Financial literacy with experience in budgeting, working capital management, and cost optimization.
- Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems; data-driven decision-making and basic data analytics.
- Excellent communication, cross-cultural collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to navigate Singapore's regulatory landscape and multi-country trade requirements.
- Familiarity with CPF, IRAS and GST, licenses, and compliance regimes related to import/export.
- Knowledge of international trade finance instruments (LCs, bank guarantees) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
