I am hiring for a global hedge fund, looking for an experienced high touch trader in Singapore to cover fundamental trading.
About the Role
Siiting at the center of the fundamental trading desk. This role focuses on high-touch execution across complex corporate events.
Responsibilities
- Execute Complex Strategies: Manage fundamental execution covering Merger/Risk Arbitrage, Event-Driven, Special Situations, ECM, and Index Rebalances.
- Optimize Risk & Hedging: Oversee Central Risk, Central Liquidity Books, Beta, and FX hedging to minimize drawdown and maximize profitability.
- Build Analytical Tools: Develop tools to optimize execution and identify mispriced market spreads.
- Model Event Scenarios: Build event-driven models for scenario analysis, including prorate calculations, borrow dynamics, and proforma valuations.
- Leverage Market Intelligence: Utilize market color, alternative data, and proprietary risk models to drive optimal positioning around corporate events.
Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Solid experience in high-touch fundamental trading within a global hedge fund or top-tier institutional platform.
- Corporate Action Expertise: Deep understanding of special situations, ECM, and index.
- Alpha Generation Potential: Strong market intuition with the desire and capability to generate actionable trade ideas over time.
