Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles including trucks and construction equipment.

. Diagnose and repair electrical wiring faults and vehicle air conditioning systems (this is a mandatory).

. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all vehicles comply with safety standards.

. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

. Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors to ensure timely completion of work.

. Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

. Must have strong skills in diagnosing wiring and electrical issues.

. Must be proficient in air conditioning system repairs for heavy vehicles.

. Proven knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and hydraulics.

. Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.

. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

. Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

. Valid driver's license (preferably with heavy vehicle endorsement).
