Job Descriptions:
- Inspect, plan, set up, mask, and perform thermal spray coating on aerospace components to meet production and engineering requirements.
- Perform masking and grit blasting to prepare aerospace components for thermal spray coating.
- Monitor spray parameters, adjusting flow rates and spray speeds using judgment and experience to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.
- Use various instruments to measure incoming and final coating thickness after plasma spray.
- Perform TPM check on machines
- Operate multi-coat and 9MC plasma systems to apply Plasma, HVOF, Flame, and TAFA coatings on aviation components, troubleshoot equipment and replace spray gun parts as needed to maintain optimal performance.
- Learn and operate other shared services operation such as water jet, shot peen and glass bead peening operation
- Update plasma logbook and prepare lab coupon submission form
- Follow all work instructions, safety protocols, and quality regulations specific to the aerospace industry.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area
- Complete production paperwork and systems transactions
- Operate stackers to safely transport heat treat fixtures, chemical containers, waste IBC tanks, coolant/oil drums, and blasting media on pallets within the facility.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum diploma in engineering, preferably in Aerospace or relevant certificates
- At least 3 years of working experience in the aviation industry as a full fledge technician
- Mechanically and electrically trained on aircraft systems
- Able to commit rotating shifts (day and night)
