Healthcare Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Provide home personal caregiving service to patients
• Attend to patients needs in their daily living activities such as showering, diaper changing and light housekeeping
• Monitor basic vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure and blood sugar level
• Assist in transferring and positioning the patients
• Escort patients to their medical appointments
• Assist with conducting daily exercises for the patients as prescribed
• Remind patients to take their medications
• Provide oral/nasogastric tube feeding if competent

Requirements:

• Possess a WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support or equivalent
• Prior experience in caregiving duties in hospitals, nursing homes or for individual parents is an added advantage but on-the-job training will be provided for those without experience
• Willingness and patience in taking care of others
• Able to commit to a 5-day work week including weekends and public holidays if assigned
• Preferably trained in BCLS+AED skills
• Candidates who are keen on a career switch would be considered
• Nursing students who are in their 2nd or 3rd-year of studies and those who can work only on weekends are welcome to apply for part-time or freelance positions
