We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Supervisor to oversee and manage health, safety, and environmental compliance on our construction project in Singapore. The successful candidate will help ensure a safe work environment, support site teams in risk management, and uphold all statutory and company safety standards throughout the project duration.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the project's HSE plans, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices.
Risk & Compliance
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments (RA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Method Statements (MS).
- Support the Permit-to-Work (PTW) process for high-risk activities.
- Ensure all works comply with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legislation and industry standards.
Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and incident logs.
- Escalate critical safety issues to the project management team.
Training & Communication
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety induction training for workers and new staff.
- Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting and safe behaviours.
- Liaise with subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
Environmental Management
- Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, noise, dust, and pollution control.
- Support sustainability initiatives and ensure adherence to environmental regulations and project requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Valid WSH Officer Registration (preferred but not mandatory depending on seniority needed).
- Minimum 2–5 years of HSE experience in construction or engineering projects in Singapore.
- Strong knowledge of WSH Act and local regulatory requirements.
- Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage safety matters on a fast-paced project site.
