Description of the Role:
HSE Coordinator is tasked with the day-to-day coordination and oversight of all Health, Safety, and Environmental functions. This role is fundamental in proactively identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring that all operational activities at worksite and company premises maintain compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and associated regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding employees and company assets.
Key Tasks:
Act as the internal subject matter expert, guaranteeing that all project execution and company premises strictly comply with the WSH Act and all subsidiary legislation
Act as the primary HSE liaison with clients, assisting the Project Manager and Project Engineer to meet all contractual and client-specific HSE requirements and preparing necessary compliance reports.
Coordinate and support the investigation of all workplace incidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses, recommending and tracking the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and enforcing the implementation of site-specific Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and other required documentation to ensure they are fully understood and followed by all personnel.
Facilitate open communication with supervisors and staff to uphold safety standards, ensuring 100% compliance with established site requirements.
Perform other essential WSH support, documentation, and coordination duties as directed by Corporate HSE
Requirements:
Education
At least GCE N Level
Advance Certificate in WSH (Level B) with WSH Refresher Course certificate
Assessor / Managing Work-At-Height
Confined Space Assessor
Apply WSH Process Plant (Optional)
Knowledge / Experience / Others
Minimum 3 years HSE experience in Construction industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of Lifting Operation and Confined Space Operation
Proficient in Risk Management procedures
Proficient with MS 365 Applications
Personal Competencies
Possess own transportation.
Possess exceptional written and communication skills
Resourceful team player and possess strong organisation skills.
Able to work independently with people at all levels and ability to plan and prioritises work, adaptable to changing needs and situation
