Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead sectoral skills and capability strategy in close partnership with the Executive Director, ensuring SDP initiatives are aligned with SGTech's organisational objectives, long-term priorities, and sector transformation needs.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight of SGTech's talent and development teams, ensuring highperformance standards, effective collaboration, and consistent delivery of organisationwide workforce and capability initiatives.
  • Manage team to develop and sectorwide skills and workforce strategies aligned to national priorities and emerging industry needs.
  • Identify priority and emerging skills through industry sensing, stakeholder engagement, and review of jobsskills trends.
  • Translate jobsskills insights into sectorrelevant frameworks, priorities, and advisory guidance for employers.
  • Engage employers and convene sectorlevel advisory platforms to identify skills and capability gaps, validate training needs, and inform workforce transformation priorities.
  • Drive the development of sustainable workforce pipelines that enable longterm sector growth.
  • Oversee industry adoption of skillsbased practices, including skillsbased role design, progression pathways, and the use of recognised credentials and training pathways.
  • Lead engagements with government agencies, industry leaders, employers, and training partners in support of Skills Development Partner (SDP) objectives.
  • Set outcome measures and oversee impact tracking and reporting to inform strategic decisions and shape subsequent initiatives.
  • Drive project management for talent and skills initiatives including funding and resource allocation in line with agreed priorities and outcomes.
  • Oversee sector talent development and reskilling initiatives to ensure alignment with workforce strategies, skills priorities, and approved funding objectives.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in workforce strategy, skills development, industry transformation, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy formulation, advisory work, or framework development within multistakeholder or sectorlevel contexts.
  • Strong understanding of jobsskills dynamics, workforce transformation, and continuing education and training ecosystems.
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders across government, industry, and training providers.
  • Ability to translate complex workforce and skills challenges into structured, actionable insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience guiding teams and portfolios at a strategic level.
  • Preferably with experience in ICT or technologyenabled sectors, including exposure to digital skills, emerging technologies, or techdriven workforce transformation.
