We are currently partnering with a leading Financial Services firm who are looking to hire a Head of Valuation Control into their Singapore team.

This role will be responsible for establishing the Valuation Control function for their private credit assets, owning the full valuation lifecycle, ensuring a robust control environment and partnering with senior management to drive best practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and continuously enhance a robust valuation control framework for private credit assets, including governance, IPV, and escalation processes.
  • Perform independent valuations for private credit instruments, including spread/discount-rate benchmarking, divergence analysis, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Review and challenge all marks, assumptions, credit data, and quarterly performance to identify assets requiring enhanced monitoring or valuation adjustments.
  • Maintain IFRS 13-aligned valuation methodologies and ensure consistency across funds, asset classes, and private credit strategies.
  • Oversee and validate valuation models (DCF, market yield, recovery), and manage external valuation agents through data preparation, review, and challenge.
  • Provide senior challenge and specialist advice to Front Office, Finance, Risk, and leadership on valuation matters and methodological enhancements.
  • Produce valuation reporting packs for senior management, boards, and risk committees, and lead all audit interactions.
  • Support investor due diligence, regulatory queries, and broader fund reporting cycles.

Role requirements

  • Deep technical expertise in private credit valuation, including DCF, market yield benchmarking, liquidity and recovery analysis, with strong knowledge of leveraged finance and private debt structures.
  • 10+ years experience across Valuation Control, Valuation Advisory, Credit Risk, Investment Banking, or Private Credit, with a proven ability to independently execute valuations and design valuation governance frameworks.
  • Skilled in managing external valuation agents and contributing to valuation committees, with strong challenge capability and a rigorous control mindset.
