Head of Treasury, APAC (Payments Industry)
We are partnering with a leading global firm to hire a Head of Treasury based in Singapore. This is a regional leadership role responsible for treasury strategy, liquidity management, banking infrastructure, FX risk and treasury operations while partnering closely with commercial, product and executive leadership teams to support the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead treasury activities across APAC, ensuring sufficient liquidity, efficient capital deployment and strong risk management practices across all regional entities.
- Develop and execute the regional treasury strategy, aligning funding, liquidity and banking initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Oversee cash management, liquidity forecasting and working capital optimisation across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
- Manage regional banking relationships, negotiate banking structures and drive continuous improvement of treasury infrastructure.
- Lead treasury support for transaction processing, settlements, fund movements and operational funding requirements across the region.
- Establish and maintain frameworks to manage foreign exchange exposure, liquidity risk and operational treasury risks.
- Partner closely with commercial, product, finance and risk teams to support new market launches, product enhancements and strategic growth initiatives.
- Drive automation, process improvement and treasury transformation projects to improve efficiency, scalability and controls.
- Provide treasury insights and recommendations to senior leadership on funding requirements, balance sheet optimisation and capital allocation decisions.
- Ensure strong governance, controls and regulatory compliance across treasury activities.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing regional treasury team across multiple locations.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of treasury experience within financial institutions, fintech, payments, banking or other highly regulated environments.
- Proven experience leading regional treasury operations across multiple countries and currencies.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and presenting to executive leadership, boards or governance committees.
- Demonstrated success building, managing and developing treasury teams in a regional or global environment.
- Experience supporting fast-growing, international organisations would be advantageous.
