About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Trading Operations to lead critical operational functions supporting our trading infrastructure, with a strong focus on Electronic FX (eFX) execution operations and Middle Office trade lifecycle management.
This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and resilience of the trading lifecycle across our global platforms. You will oversee operational processes that support electronic trade execution, exposure monitoring, reconciliation, and operational risk management, while working closely with Trading, Risk, Technology, and Finance teams.
The role also provides oversight across post-trade activities, ensuring effective coordination between trading operations and settlement processes as part of the broader trading lifecycle.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee trading operations across eFX execution operations and Middle Office trade lifecycle processes.
- Ensure efficient operational support for electronic trade execution across Axi's trading platforms, including monitoring execution quality such as latency, slippage, and liquidity performance.
- Work closely with trading and technology teams to support trade routing, liquidity connectivity, and execution infrastructure.
- Maintain operational relationships with liquidity providers and prime brokers, ensuring alignment across execution workflows.
- Oversee the trade lifecycle management process, ensuring trades are accurately captured, validated, and reconciled across internal systems.
- Monitor trading exposure and ensure adherence to operational controls and risk thresholds.
- Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, reconciliation breaks, and operational anomalies within the trading environment.
- Provide operational oversight across post-trade activities including reconciliation and settlement processes with liquidity providers and counterparties.
- Establish strong operational governance across the trade lifecycle from execution through reconciliation and settlement.
- Collaborate closely with Trading, Risk, Technology, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure operational stability and scalability.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for supporting the operational backbone of Axi's trading environment.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience in eFX operations, trading operations, or electronic trading environments.
- Strong background in Middle Office trade lifecycle management, reconciliation, and operational risk controls.
- Experience within FX, CFD, brokerage, prime brokerage, or electronic trading firms.
- Strong working knowledge of MetaTrader platforms (MT4 and/or MT5) and the operational infrastructure supporting these trading environments.
- Solid understanding of trade execution infrastructure, liquidity management, and exposure monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle from execution through post-trade operations including reconciliation and settlement.
- Proven leadership experience managing operational teams in fast-paced trading environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across trading, technology, risk, and finance teams.
