Head of Technology Risk

I'm partnering with a leading financial institution to appoint a Head of Technology Risk. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the enterprise technology risk framework, providing independent oversight of technology and cyber risk, and supporting governance across emerging technologies. Working closely with senior business and technology leaders, you'll help strengthen the organisation's risk management capabilities while ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the enterprise technology risk framework, policies and governance.
• Provide independent oversight and challenge across technology, cybersecurity, cloud and operational resilience, including governance of emerging technology risks.
• Oversee technology and cyber risk reporting, key risk indicators and governance forums.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to strengthen risk management and control effectiveness.
• Support regulatory engagements and present technology risk matters to senior management and Board committees.
• Drive continuous improvement across technology risk practices and governance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading Technology Risk, Cyber Risk or Information Security Risk within financial services or another regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of technology governance, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, operational resilience and enterprise risk management.
• Exposure to AI risk management or governance of emerging technologies would be advantageous.
• Experience engaging senior executives, regulators and Board-level stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence, challenge and build strong relationships across business and technology functions.
