Job Description

Position Overview:

As the Head of Technology Delivery & Operations, you will be the strategic engine driving the execution and operational excellence of our technology division. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, this role is designed for a heavyweight delivery leader who excels at navigating complex organizational landscapes, optimizing agile processes, and ensuring that technical projects translate into tangible business value.

You will lead the Delivery Management (DM) and Project Management Office (PMO) functions, acting as the primary bridge between our engineering teams and the broader business. While you are not expected to write code, you must possess a solid technology background. This role requires a high tech IQ to grasp the general challenges of modern software development-such as architectural trade-offs, deployment complexities, and technical debt-allowing you to effectively manage timelines, vendor relationships, and high-level project risks.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Delivery Management & Agile Governance

. End-to-End Execution: Own the tactical and operational roadmap for all software projects. You are responsible for ensuring features and milestones are delivered with surgical precision.

. Agile Leadership: Drive the Scrum-of-Scrums cadence across multiple departments. You will refine our Agile maturity, ensuring teams are high-performing and consistently hitting sprint goals.

. Technical Problem Solving: While not solving code issues, you will use your technical background to identify and unblock delivery risks related to environment dependencies, API integrations, and legacy system constraints.

. Tooling & Standards: Standardize and enforce the use of Jira (for roadmap planning, burndowns, and executive reporting) and Confluence (for PRDs, operational runbooks, and project documentation).

. Release Coordination: Oversee the Deployment to Production Pipeline (D2PP) from a coordination standpoint, ensuring all pre-and-post-launch criteria (documentation, QA sign-off, stabilization) are met.

2. PMO Oversight & Financial Governance

. Strategic Alignment: Ensure that every tactical project aligns with the company's

long-term financial goals, budget cycles, and strategic priorities.

. Budget & Resource Planning: Oversee the financial health of tech projects, managing budget allocations, cost-tracking, and compliance audits.

. Governance Excellence: Create a seamless bridge between the Build teams (engineers) and Audit teams (PMO/Compliance) to ensure 100% adherence to organizational standards.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Communication

. Executive Presence: Develop and deliver high-impact presentations to the Board, C-suite, and Management committees. You must be an expert at translating tech speak into business-centric narratives regarding ROI and project health.

. Cross-Functional Synergy: Align internal teams (Product, UI/UX, QA, and Engineering) to ensure cohesive delivery. You are the glue that keeps these functions moving in the same direction.

. Business Translation: Act as the primary point of contact for business heads (CSO, Marketing, B2B/P2P, and Supply), ensuring their requirements are accurately captured and prioritized within the tech roadmap.

4. Vendor & Resource Management

. ODC Partnership: Lead the relationship with our Offshore Development Center (ODC) partners. You will handle contract negotiations, resource scaling, and rigorous performance tracking against KPIs.

. Conflict Resolution: Act as the final arbiter for resourcing conflicts, balancing scope, timeline, quality, and capacity to prevent project bottlenecks.

5. Any ad hoc Duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

. Preferably 12+ years of experience in project/program management within a technology-centric organization, with more than 5 years in a senior leadership role.

. Strong knowledge in technology with a minimum Degree in Computer Science /Engineering or experience in a previous technical role) will be a plus. You must understand the how behind software delivery to anticipate bottlenecks and speak the same language as the engineering leads.

. Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills.

. Deep mastery of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence) is preferred.

. Certifications like PMP, Prince2, or SAFe are highly preferred.

. Good to have a proven track record of managing large-scale ODC vendors and external integration partners.

. Solid understanding of modern tech stacks (Cloud/EKS, Microservices, Mobile, Data Warehousing) to intelligently manage risks and timelines.
