Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Lead to work closely with our CTO in turning vision into reality. You will lead our development team, including full-time developers and interns, and collaborate closely with product, design, marketing, and external partners.
This role requires a mix of hands-on technical expertise and team leadership, guiding architecture and code quality while also contributing directly to building our products. You will be responsible for driving projects from concept to delivery, ensuring our technical execution aligns with business goals and is fit-for-purpose, not over-engineered.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate the CTO's strategic vision into clear technical plans and deliverables.
- Lead, mentor, and manage developers and interns, fostering a culture of autonomy, efficiency, and trust.
- Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and external clients/partners to ensure technical feasibility and smooth execution of initiatives.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend third-party integrations that enhance our platform's capabilities.
- Contribute to hands-on development, particularly in front-end and full-stack work.
- Oversee system architecture, code quality, and best practices across the engineering team.
- Make pragmatic technical decisions, balancing quality, speed, and business needs without unnecessary complexity.
- Set up and maintain efficient engineering workflows, including ticket management, sprint planning, version control practices, and documentation standards.
- Use analytics and product data to guide technical priorities and feature development.
- Support DevOps and deployment processes where needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in leading technical teams in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js.
- Experience working with AWS services.
- Ability to work across the full development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionable product improvements.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including external clients and partners.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Django or other Python backend frameworks.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
- Previous experience working at a startup with high ownership
