To accelerate this transformation, we are looking for a strategic, data-driven and AI-savvy Head of Supply Chain Management for our Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa region, covering Singapore, Australia, Japan, South Korea, India, South-East Asia, the Middle East and Africa. In this role, you will work closely with global SCM and central functions to translate global direction into regional execution.
Your Impact
You will be the architect of our regional supply chain - designing how engines, energy solutions and parts flow across some of the world's most dynamic and complex markets. This is a strategic leadership role, not a pure operations position, with a strong focus on:
- Defining and executing a regional hub strategy, including logistics hubs in Singapore, the Middle East and Australia.
- Establishing new logistics hubs where the future of our business demands them.
- Leveraging AI and advanced analytics in key SCM processes.
- Driving cross-country collaboration and standardization across the region.
- Enabling scalable, digital and resilient supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate the global SCM strategy and roadmap into a clear execution plan for the region, balancing global direction with local market needs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional SCM organization, directly lead the team in Singapore and coach dotted-line teams across multiple countries and support building strong local capabilities.
- Oversee end-to-end SCM for all organizations in the region, including order management, import & customs, logistics and warehouse management, 3PL coordination, inventory optimization, procurement, and supplier qualification.
- Design and optimize the regional supply chain network, including the setup of a Middle East logistics hub, strategic inventory positioning and cross-border flow and service-level optimization.
- Drive AI, digitalization and automation in SCM by identifying and deploying AI use cases (e.g. forecasting, S&OP, inventory, transport planning, risk monitoring) and embedding them into daily operations in close collaboration with IT and global SCM.
- Lead the regional SCM teams through the SAP R/3 to S/4HANA go-live (MM and SD), ensuring business readiness, robust testing, effective change management together with the global IT/project team.
- Own SCM-related performance management and transparency by defining and managing regional KPIs, cost targets and service levels and by establishing dashboard-based performance reporting for regional and corporate management.
- Initiate and lead multi-country SCM projects, such as Middle East hub design, automation deployment, cross-border optimization, S&OP enhancement and strategic inventory positioning, ensuring measurable impact on cost, service and resilience.
- Act as a connector across the region, aligning sub-regional SCM activities, harmonizing standards and ways of working and strengthening collaboration between markets and with headquarters.
- Ensure adherence to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) standards for the Singapore warehouse and foster a culture of safety and compliance across the regional SCM organization.
- Be willing to undertake regional travel of approximately 20% to visit key markets, hubs and teams across the region.
What We're Looking For
- Regional SCM leadership: At least 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain management or logistics operations at a regional level, with proven responsibility for teams across multiple countries (including indirect/dotted-line structures); experience with India and the Middle East is a plus.
- End-to-end SCM expertise: Comprehensive understanding of global SCM processes and systems, with experience in network design, S&OP, inventory management and logistics in complex, multi-country environments.
- AI & digital SCM: Demonstrated experience deploying AI, advanced analytics or digital tools in SCM-related processes (e.g. forecasting, inventory, logistics, planning) and the ability to translate business challenges into concrete data/AI use cases.
- Education: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business or a related field is preferred.
- Systems & transformation: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP R/3 and/or S/4HANA and Microsoft 365; prior involvement in an S/4HANA migration or go-live and experience in change management and process standardization across regions are strong advantages.
- Leadership & communication: Strong logical thinking, negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with a data-driven decision-making style and the ability to turn complex problems into practical, actionable solutions.
- Global mindset: Proven track record of leading cross-regional and cross-functional teams and projects, collaborating effectively across markets and functions, and navigating cultural differences in a global organization.
- Languages: Fluency in English is essential; German language skills are a plus.
