About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Supply Chain & Logistics to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving procurement excellence, inventory optimization, logistics management, and distribution performance while ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business growth, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and risk management. You will also oversee global sourcing initiatives, supplier partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a resilient and agile supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Supply Chain Planning
- Develop and execute integrated demand, supply, production, and inventory strategies to ensure product availability and operational continuity.
- Lead forecasting and planning processes, proactively identifying and resolving supply-demand imbalances.
- Establish supply chain frameworks that support business growth, scalability, and market expansion.
- Procurement & Supplier Excellence
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities for raw materials, packaging components, and critical services.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, cost competitiveness, and supply security.
- Drive supplier performance management, contract negotiations, and global sourcing initiatives.
- Ensure procurement practices comply with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.
Logistics & Distribution Management
- Oversee warehousing, transportation, import/export operations, and product distribution activities.
- Ensure efficient and compliant movement of goods in accordance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Monitor logistics performance and implement improvements to enhance service levels and operational efficiency.
Inventory & Operational Control
- Establish robust inventory management processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing obsolescence and waste.
- Monitor inventory health, expiry management, and replenishment activities to support uninterrupted production and customer fulfillment.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), GDP, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain inspection and audit readiness across all supply chain functions.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing teams to uphold compliance standards.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
- Identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, cost savings, and operational excellence.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to strengthen supply continuity and business resilience.
- Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to support informed decision-making and continuous optimization.
- Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Build organizational capabilities to support current operations and future business expansion.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent are advantageous.
- 12–15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including significant exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience in global sourcing, supplier management, procurement, logistics, and inventory planning.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, including GMP and GDP requirements.
- Demonstrated success in leading transformation initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, financial analysis capabilities, and ERP system proficiency.
