A leading investment management firm is seeking a Head of Strategy to partner closely with senior leadership in driving the firm's next phase of growth and operational development.
This individual will play a key role in shaping strategic initiatives, strengthening the firm's operating platform, and leveraging technology to enhance investment capabilities. The role requires someone with a strong background in hedge fund operations, strategic planning, and technology-driven platform development, with exposure across multiple asset classes and global markets.
The successful candidate will work closely with investment leadership to ensure the firm's platform remains scalable, efficient, and well-positioned for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute long-term strategic initiatives for the firm.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the investment platform, operational efficiency, and global footprint.
- Support leadership on business planning, organisational development, and platform scalability.
Platform & Operational Oversight
- Oversee and strengthen the firm's operational infrastructure across trading, risk management, compliance, and fund operations.
- Ensure the operating model supports multiple investment strategies, asset classes, and regional markets.
- Work closely with portfolio managers and investment teams to optimise operational workflows and infrastructure.
Technology & Systems Development
- Lead technology initiatives across the investment platform, including trading systems, portfolio management systems, and data infrastructure.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions that enhance trading efficiency, analytics, and operational scalability.
- Work with internal and external technology teams to modernise the firm's systems architecture and data capabilities.
Global Platform Coordination
- Support alignment across different regional investment teams and strategies.
- Maintain strong oversight of key service providers including prime brokers, administrators, and technology vendors.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key partner to investment leadership, operations teams, and external stakeholders.
- Help cultivate a high-performance and collaborative organisational culture.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience within hedge funds, asset management, or institutional investment platforms.
- Strong experience in platform strategy, hedge fund operations, or senior operational leadership roles.
- Exposure across multiple asset classes and global markets is highly preferred.
- Technology-oriented mindset, with experience implementing or overseeing trading systems, data platforms, or operational technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of hedge fund infrastructure including prime brokerage, fund administration, and risk management.
- Ability to operate at a strategic leadership level while remaining hands-on with execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
