About the role
We are looking for a Head of Science (Primary) to build and subsequently lead a high-quality P3 to P6 Science programme.
This role goes beyond teaching. You will shape the programme structure, strengthen curriculum and delivery, and later on, build teaching capability to ensure consistent student outcomes across centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and refine the P3-P6 science curriculum, ensuring alignment with MOE syllabus and PSLE requirements
- Develop structured teaching approaches to ensure consistent lesson delivery
- Monitor student progress and continuously improve programme outcomes
- Engage parents through clear communication on student development
- Support trial classes and contribute to enrolment growth
- Teach 4-6 classes per week, including at least 1 weekend, with teaching load adjusted as the teaching team expands
- Hire and train teachers to deliver high-quality lessons
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Science or related field (MOE/NIE-trained preferred)
- Minimum 5-8 years of teaching experience in primary science
- Clear and structured teaching style with strong concept explanation
- Strong track record of helping students improve and perform
- Experience in curriculum development, mentoring, or academic leadership is advantageous
- Someone who has taken initiative to improve teaching practices, curriculum, or student outcomes beyond their own classroom
- Comfortable operating in a programme-building environment and taking ownership
