A well-ranked international university with a campus in Singapore is seeking a distinguished academic leader to head its School of Technology. This is a genuine mandate to reimagine and grow a school with real ambition, backed by a strong international academic network.

Leading full strategic ownership across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the role offers a rare opportunity to transform the direction of a fast-growing school within a well-established institution.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Campus Dean, the Academic Head will lead the School's academic direction - stewarding existing programmes while developing new offerings across areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science in close collaboration with the wider university network.

Leading a team of faculty and adjunct staff, you will mentor academic colleagues toward a stronger, more visible research culture, with teaching responsibilities kept deliberately light to preserve bandwidth for leading and co-developing applied research.

Building high-value partnerships with technology companies and industry bodies will be central to the mandate, with the Head of School representing the university across professional and industry networks locally and internationally.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is PhD qualified and brings at least five years of academic leadership. You should have a credible record in curriculum and research leadership, alongside deep familiarity with AI, cybersecurity, computing, or adjacent technology domains.

While an active research programme is not essential, you bring genuine research credibility and the ability to lead the team in this regard.

You are described as a leader with high intercultural competence and emotional intelligence, effortlessly building trust across diverse academic and professional communities.
