Job Description

Description

We are partnering with a leading player in the energy infrastructure sector to hire a Head of Safety, Health & Environment for their operations in Singapore. This is a senior leadership role overseeing all SHE aspects across assets island-wide. The organisation is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional who can be both hands-on in operations and strategic in shaping and implementing SHE frameworks at a high level.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and empower a team to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and global standards in safety, health, environment, and process safety management. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in SHE performance, fostering a culture of safety across the organisation, and ensuring robust support to terminal operations in both routine and complex activities. A key part of the role also involves maintaining effective engagement with government agencies, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to support SHE initiatives and uphold the highest safety standards.

You will oversee crisis and emergency response planning, advise management during incidents, and ensure the operational readiness of all safety, fire, security, and environmental systems. Another critical area of responsibility is managing SHE risks-including leading safety case implementation, ensuring effective incident investigation and follow-up, and embedding strong risk assessment practices at all levels of the organisation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in Safety, Health & Environment, be a certified SHE professional, and bring at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience-of which at least 5 years should be in a leadership capacity. Strong technical knowledge of process safety and SHE systems, a firm grasp of regulatory frameworks, and demonstrated experience in safety compliance and behavioural change are essential.

This is an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organisation where safety is at the core of its operations. If you're passionate about leading high-impact safety programmes in complex industrial settings and are ready to take on a role that combines strategic vision with operational excellence, we will love to hear from you.
