Strategic Planning & Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for construction, store design, and property management in alignment with corporate goals
- Lead the long-term planning and execution of new stores, store remodels and store closure projects.
- Create and manage budgets for all construction and property-related activities, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control.
- Establish project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules, mitigating risks and addressing issues proactively.
Project Management
- Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Lead the Construction Team and ensure that all Construction Projects are on track with budget and timeline, ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Foster strong relationships with external vendors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Construction Managers, Executives, Design and Property Team.
Store Design & Layout
- Drive the strategic vision for store design, ensuring it aligns with brand identity and enhances customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and sustainable store layouts.
- Oversee team of Designers to ensure successful integration of fixtures, fittings, and equipment into store designs, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal.
- Implement industry best practices and emerging trends in retail design to maintain competitive advantage.
Property Management
- Lead the strategic acquisition, development, and disposition of properties to support the company's growth objectives.
- Oversee lease negotiations, renewals, and property agreements to optimize real estate portfolio performance.
- Managing and maintaining a good relationship with the landlords and property owners.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including zoning laws and environmental standards.
- Maintain an updated and comprehensive portfolio of all company properties, managing related documentation and data.
Facilities Management
- Set the overall facilities management strategy and governance framework for the 7-Eleven Singapore portfolio, covering stores, offices and distribution centres.
- Provide executive oversight of the outsources FM operating model, holding service partners accountable for performance, cost discipline, compliance and service levels.
- Own asset resilience, risk, and business continuity outcomes, ensuring preventive maintenance standards, emergency preparedness, and minimal operational disruption.
- Govern facilities-related capital and operating expenditure, driving lifecycle optimisation, sustainability outcomes, and long-term cost efficiency.
- Act as the executive escalation point for major facilities incidents, regulatory matters, or systemic risks, with day-to-day facilities operations managed by the Facilities Manager and team.
Do you have experience in Retail leadership
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related discipline.
- Min. 10 years of senior leadership experience leading large, complex property, projects and/or facilities portfolio within a multi-site or asset-intensive environment
- Strategic and commercial mindset, with proven ability to translate business priorities into long-term asset, capital and operating strategies.
- Strong governance and risk capability, including oversight of regulatory, safety, compliance and audit requirements at an enterprise level.
- Financial acumen, with experience governing capex and opex, investment prioritization and lifecycle cost optimisation.
- Influential senior stakeholder partner, able to engage credibly with ExCo, functional leaders, landlords, regulators and external service partners.
