Head of Production ( Based in Singapore)

ROLE PURPOSE:

To lead the end-to-end production strategy and govern all farm departments to ensure maximum yield, biosecurity, and operational excellence while maximizing investment effectiveness within approved budgets and regulatory frameworks.

FINANCIAL SCOPE:

• Overall production and operations budget control across 7 departments.

• Allocation of spending across livestock, feed, and processing projects.

• Direct impact on total farm P&L, production ROI, and cost-per-egg efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• STRATEGIC FARM LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE

Lead overall strategy for all 7 departments, managing the total farm lifecycle and infrastructure.

• INTEGRATED OPERATIONAL ECOSYSTEM

Develop and manage a 360° integrated operation plan across Livestock, Feed Mill, and Processing.

Oversee farm touchpoints including biosecurity protocols and international food safety certifications.

Analyze market trends and business performance data to support strategic farm decision-making.

Plan and allocate budgets for Maintenance, Waste Management, and Production departments.

Manage overall product P&L components related to feed and processing costs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, or Animal Husbandry.

• Master's degree in Business Administration or a professional qualification is an advantage.

• Specialized certification in Poultry Management or Food Safety (HACCP).

• Continuous professional development in smart farming or automation technology.

• Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is a plus for worker management.

• Advanced knowledge of poultry physiology, nutrition, and avian health.

• Deep understanding of Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations and biosecurity standards.

• Mastery of marketing finance, ROI, and spending governance for large operations.

• Knowledge of Feed Mill operations and automated grading/processing technologies.

• Understanding of waste management and environmental sustainability in an agricultural context.

• High-level strategic thinking and business acumen for long-term farm planning.

• Strong leadership and people development skills for a diverse workforce.

• Financial and budget management skills including CAPEX and OPEX oversight.

• Analytical and data-driven decision-making for yield optimization.

• Executive-level presentation and stakeholder management for board-level reporting.

• Ability to lead and influence at the senior management level to drive farm-wide change.

• Ability to balance bird welfare/biosecurity with aggressive commercial performance.
